I did a quick drive by HK's nest and was so very happy to find him in the nest tree...even if he was alone.
This is a blog about Norfolk Botanical Garden banded Bald Eagle "HK," hatched in 2009. The photos and observations are mine unless otherwise indicated. I hope you enjoy this story of HK's life along a golf course on the North Landing River. Please take a second and leave a comment, they are greatly appreciated.

HK and Sterling reappear, 4.13.15.
HK and Sterling reappeared on the feeding tree this morning. Not much time spent there though. She left and he followed.
HK was relocated in the nest tree 2 hours later. He did some preening.
And spent some alone time in the nest.

A four Eagle Day: 4.11.15.
It was a bit unusual to see four Eagles visit the area today.
First, a juvie showed up.
It was followed in by an unbanded adult Eagle.
And they circled each other. Then left the area.
An hour later, 2 more flew in.....and after reviewing the photos on the computer, it was HK and Sterling!

HK in the nest tree 4.10.15.
HK is still all alone in the nest tree. I am told the time for eggs is passed for him at this nest.
HK looking right.
HK looking left.
HK has an itch.
