February 26, 2014....a new, young female appears

I had heard a new, younger eagle had been hanging around and today I finally saw her. She is a big girl!

She endured being mobbed by Crows for a short while.

The young female flew off. I drove around for a while, looking for eagles. After 30 minutes, I located HK in the Belspring tower. He appeared to have a small wound above his beak.

He flew off towards the nest and I returned back there. But, the nest was empty.

This will be my last, personal post for a while. I have family business in Florida to attend to. I hope to have another photographer give me updates from time to time. I'll keep you posted!
