HK all alone: 2.9.16

I went to monitor the Honey Bee area late in the afternoon today.  As I drove up to the nest, it appeared to be empty. But, I sat in the car for about 45 minutes and suddenly, a white head appeared! HK.

I got out of the car to walk around to the back and HK took off. He circled once.

I was able to locate him shortly thereafter on a tower.

HK did some preening.

He took off and I eventually relocated him back in his nest tree.

HK was in a tricky spot to watch so I got out of my car and sat on the street in front.  I enjoyed him getting a quick, quizzical look and then he took off again.
